Our Research

We design and synthesize semiconductor quantum dots and related nanomaterials for displays, image sensors, and solar energy conversion. Our research connects materials chemistry with device engineering to understand how composition, structure, surfaces, and interfaces govern their properties and performance.

We combine in situ transmission electron microscopy with optical and X-ray spectroscopy to investigate fundamental mechanisms and guide the development of optoelectronic and energy devices, including stretchable and flexible displays. We welcome collaboration and discussion with researchers across disciplines.
